Alexander the Great and Philip II

Alexander was the son of Philip II of Macedonia. Alexander's father was killed at the end of the Peloppenesian War. Alexander pursued the dream of his father to unite the four city-states of Greece. After he had accomplished this feat, he began his conquest of the Mediterranean areas and continued to pursue his vision to India and the Arabian peninsula. Alexander died at the age of thirty-three.

Philip II was a contemporary of Aristotle and chose him to tutor his son, Alexander. There are many stories and legends about Alexander's parents.
