CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Thank you for stopping by my web page. My Web pages are devoted to 'Conflict Resolution/Problem Solving activities for students and lesson plan ideas for teachers.
My students come in contact with situations on a daily basis in school, at home and in other social settings, that are potentially violent. There are ways for the students to resolve conflicts that arise their social interactions. Television models for the students show how to resolve conflicts violently and it declares loudly that only the strong survive. Even in their own neighborhoods and homes they are eyewitnesses to fights, arguments and other inappropriate behaviors. Just as teachers and schools give students opportunities to acquire knowledge on an academic level, - in hopes of improving their chances for a good life, there must also be ways to educate students so their interpersonal interactions are appropriate and successful.
The students in my class have some activities to complete. These activities will help the students begin applying 'conflict resolution techniques' on a personal level.
